A little background about me, my name is Brian. I have spent the last 25+ years in the music industry. I worked in music retail on 48th Street in NYC at Alex Music and Manny’s Music. I was a salesman, guitar department manager and sales manager at Manny’s. I also have done sales for D’Addario and lastly with Brian Moore Guitars/iGuitar. I was always into gear. Always striving for product knowledge.
Currently teaching guitar in Rockland County, NY. Teacing full-time since 2007
I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor's of Music(B.M.) in performance. I also have studied guitar with Steve Khan, John Abercrombie, Bill Connors and Ken Hatfield.
My main axe is a Brian Moore MC1p.13.(1994). One of the first MC1’s, Sn# 106. I had it upgraded to 13-pin in the late 90’s so I could use it as a controller for the guitar synthesizer, the Axon NGC-77. Now, I also use it to record with and to trigger software sounds in Logic via Midiguitar 2 software. I also had an Axon Ax-100 and a Roland Gi-20 13-pin guitar midi converters. I also use the Roland Vg-8. I have been doing the guitar synth since the early 90's.
I also use a Martin MC28 acoustic, a Spanish-made Aria AC80 classical guitar, Music Man EVH, Fender Custom Shop Strat, Brian Moore C55p White Saturn, BMG C90 (rosewood neck) and an iGuitar i81.13. Brian Moore Customs are still my favorite guitars. Never did get my DC1P.13EH Koa. :(\
My rock influences include Alex Lifeson, Neil Geraldo(Pat Benatar), Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck....
Jazz influences include Steve Khan, Mike Stern, Pat Metheny, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Michael Brecker, Chic Corea, Jim Hall, Wes Montgomery, Pat Martino.....
